Today I’m sharing a detailed review of where I stayed for 6 nights (7 days) during my Walt Disney World trip: Coronado Springs Resort – Gran Destino Tower, Water View.

Did you know you can get a discount for booking multiple nights? With the multi-night offer, I paid about $360 per night (the regular rate was about $440, so that’s a pretty big discount!).

🏨 What Is Coronado Springs Resort Like?

Coronado Springs Resort is divided into two main areas:

  • Village: rooms spread across many smaller buildings around the lake
  • Tower (Gran Destino Tower): the newest building, with rooms inside the main building where you check in

Room conditions are similar in both, but I chose the Tower because it’s easier to get around and has a more modern feel.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Great for Family Trips: Connecting Rooms

We were a family of four traveling with my parents, and in the Tower we were given connecting rooms, so we could move freely between the two. It was really convenient:

  • When sharing food in the morning
  • When passing luggage back and forth
  • When getting together after resting separately

We kept our own private spaces while still using it like one big room, which was great.

Even the door has a Mickey shape!!! lol

🌊 An Amazing View: Water View Room

From the water view room, you can see a wide lake stretching out in front of you, with Three Bridges Bar & Grill sitting on the water. Opening the curtains at dawn and taking in the view was truly relaxing.

The water view is fantastic!!

🔧 The Elevator System

The Tower’s elevators don’t use regular buttons. Instead, you enter your floor on a tablet screen:

  1. Enter the floor you want in the lobby
  2. The system assigns you an elevator number
  3. Take that elevator and it automatically goes to your floor

(It’s an unusual system, so don’t be thrown off!)

I was worried about noise, so I requested a room far from the elevators… but the hotel is so big that it really was quite far 😂 If you want to save your legs, I recommend asking for a room near the elevators!

🚌 Shuttle Bus Info

The bus stop for the theme park shuttles is just a short walk down to the right after leaving the main lobby. Having the stop so close made mornings really easy, and buses came often, about every 15 minutes, so we never waited long. I was also very happy that monitors (TVs) at the stop show real-time estimated arrival times for each park’s bus, so you can see right away when your bus is coming.

🍴 Restaurants at the Resort

Coronado Springs is known for having lots of great places to eat!

🥂 Lounges inside the Tower

  • Barcelona Lounge
    • A stylish lounge for a light breakfast in the morning and a cocktail in the evening
  • Dahlia Lounge
    • Perfect for relaxing while enjoying the night view

🥩 Restaurants & Food Court

  • Three Bridges Bar & Grill: a popular restaurant floating on the lake

Three Bridges is famous for its night views, so if you have time, be sure to go!

  • Maya Grill: a table-service restaurant

  • Rix Sports Bar & Grill: a casual, lively atmosphere

  • El Mercado de Coronado: a food court with plenty of options

🧺 Housekeeping, Microwave & Laundry Tips

Housekeeping comes every other day. Towels were plentiful — 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels — so it wasn’t really an inconvenience. If you run short, they’ll bring more right away when you ask, but note that you may want to tip in that case.

A microwave isn’t provided by default, but if you ask, they’ll bring one to your room! If you’ve packed instant rice (Korean travelers often bring Hetbahn), be sure to ask 😉 I tipped the person who brought it $5.

Laundry rooms are on the 3rd floor of the Tower and also in the Village area. You can buy detergent from a vending machine, and the washers and dryers have instructions posted on top, so they’re easy to use. For reference, detergent is $2.50, and washing and drying are $3.50 each. If you want to save on detergent, bringing small packets from home is a good idea!

🏊‍♀️ Outdoor Pool & Hot Tub

Coronado Springs has a large outdoor pool decorated in a Mexican style. The pool floor slopes in steps, so the depth gradually increases from about 1.1 m to 1.4 m.

The pool has a short but fun water slide that’s great for kids, and next to the pool there’s a hot tub to soothe tired muscles. After walking around the parks all day, soaking in the hot tub makes the fatigue melt away.

✨ Quick Tips ✨

🚿 Use the Clothesline in the Bathroom

If you look closely inside the shower, there’s a small device on one side. Pull it all the way out and hook it on the other side, and you’ve got a little clothesline! It’s really handy for drying wet swimsuits after the pool or clothes you’ve hand-washed, so make sure to use it.

🤩 Character Meetings (Surprise Appearances!)

At Coronado Springs Resort, characters sometimes appear unannounced in the garden in front of the Tower. I happened to run into them on my way to the pool and took photos right away!

When you check in, it helps to casually ask the staff about character appearance times. If you know in advance, you can plan your photo opportunity more easily.

🌟 Final Verdict: A Resort I’d Happily Stay at Again!

Coronado Springs Resort – Gran Destino Tower offers:

✔ A reasonably priced Moderate resort ✔ An uncrowded, comfortable environment ✔ Modern facilities and a gorgeous water view ✔ Friendly staff

It was a satisfying stay in every way for all 6 nights. If you’re planning a multi-night stay at Disney, this is a resort I recommend! That wraps up my Coronado Springs review.
