🌡 Current Orlando weather at a glance

Orlando weather forecast during the cold weather advisory

  • Morning lows: 0–2°C (32–36°F)
  • Daytime highs: 12–15°C (54–59°F)
  • Strong winds (up to 40 km/h / 25 mph or more)
  • Possible frost in the early morning hours

In particular, highways in the northwest are even under a 👉 Freeze Warning.

🏰 Disney World visitors, take note!

Because people think “Florida is always warm,” a lot of visitors come to Disney in winter without packing anything for the cold. But at this time of year, Disney World feels pretty cold in the mornings and at night.

✔ What I recommend packing

  • A light puffer jacket or a thick hoodie
  • Gloves / a beanie
  • Layers you can take off during the day and put back on at night

👉 In fact, when the weather turns like this, the shops inside the Disney parks put out a lot more jackets and sweatshirts.

☕ How to get through a cold day in the parks

1️⃣ Have some soup (this is your chance!)

Disney’s soups, which you’d never touch on a hot day, become the ultimate comfort food on a cold day.

2️⃣ Swap iced coffee for a hot drink ☕

  • Hot coffee from Joffrey’s / Starbucks
  • I highly recommend the hot chocolate from Ghirardelli at Disney Springs

👉 Great for warming your hands and keeping your body temperature up!

3️⃣ Focus on indoor shows

When it’s cold, indoor attractions & shows are your best friends.

4️⃣ Outdoor queues? Bring them on!

Queues that are torture in summer 👉 become “worth the wait” in winter.

  • The Slinky Dog Dash queue
  • Now’s the time to tackle attractions with lots of outdoor queuing!

5️⃣ Be ready for early mornings and nights

  • Mornings & nights feel much colder
  • It eases up for a while during the day, then gets cold fast after sunset
  • Best to avoid water attractions in the evening
  • Warm by day → cold after sunset → you need layers
  • If you’re planning to watch a nighttime show, a jacket or coat is a must

6️⃣ Enjoy a hotel campfire & s’mores 🔥

Most Disney hotels offer ✔ a campfire + s’mores experience. ✔ In summer it’s too hot, but 👉 when it’s cold, the atmosphere is incredible.
