EPCOT Attractions Guide: Every Ride, Show and Character Meet by Area

EPCOT is a park decorated with themes from countries all around the world – and each country has its own princess living there (for example, Anna and Elsa in Norway, Jasmine in Morocco and Mulan in China). Each pavilion also sells its country’s signature foods, so wandering around and picking up tasty snacks is half the fun. (I’ll put together a separate post on the best snacks here!)

EPCOT is broadly divided into the World Celebration area and the World Showcase area. Most of the attractions are on the World Celebration side of the park, while World Showcase is made up of spaces themed to each country’s culture.

EPCOT is also a huge park built around a large lake, so if you walk around all day it’s common to clock more than 20,000 steps. Mentally prepare yourself before you go! 👟

Below are EPCOT’s attractions by area. I’ve sorted them into four types and added my own star rating ⭐️ as a self-proclaimed ride fanatic:

• 🌠 Thrill ride – rides with real thrills
• 🐌 Slow ride – rides that move slowly
• 🎭 Show – attractions you watch sitting in a theater
• 🤩 Character experience – where you can meet Disney characters

Plus:

• 💧 marks attractions where you might get a little wet.
• 💫 marks attractions included in Lightning Lane Multi Pass, the paid line-skipping option.

🌐 World Celebration

• Meet Beloved Disney Pals at Mickey & Friends / 🤩 Character experience This is where you can meet Disney’s star, Mickey. When you enter the meet-and-greet room, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy are there. (Characters other than Mickey may change.)

• 💫 Spaceship Earth / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ You travel slowly through the giant sphere that symbolizes EPCOT, following the history of human communication – from cave paintings all the way to the internet age.

🪐 World Discovery

• Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind / 🌠 Thrill ride / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EPCOT’s most popular roller coaster. In this Guardians of the Galaxy–themed ride, your vehicle spins a full 360 degrees as you join the Guardians on a thrilling adventure to save the universe. Highly recommended!!

• Meet Star-Lord near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind / 🤩 Character experience A photo spot where you can meet Star-Lord (Peter Quill) in person.

• 💫 Test Track / 🌠 Thrill ride / ⭐⭐⭐⭐ You design your own car, then actually ride it through a speed test. It was recently refreshed and now includes a driving simulation of AI-powered self-driving.

• 💫 Mission: SPACE / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐⭐ A space-flight simulator inspired by real astronaut training. There are two intensity levels, “Green” and “Orange.” The Orange version spins a lot, so if you get motion sick easily, choose Green!

🍀 World Nature

• Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana / 🎭 Show / 💧 An interactive walk-through experience based on the world of Moana. The interactive fountains make it perfect for playing with kids. You may get a little wet.

• 💫 The Seas with Nemo & Friends / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐ A cute undersea journey to find Nemo and Dory! After the ride, it connects to a real large aquarium where you can see sea creatures.

• 💫 Turtle Talk with Crush / 🎭 Show / ⭐ An interactive show where Crush, the sea turtle who’s fond of Dory, actually chats with the audience.

• 💫 Soarin’ Around the World / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A popular attraction that feels like flying! With a giant screen plus real wind and scent effects, you feel like you’re soaring over famous landmarks around the world.

• 💫 Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐ A relaxed boat ride where you learn about farming and how plants grow. You can see crops actually grown inside EPCOT. Look out for the Hidden Mickeys along the way!

• 💫 Journey Into Imagination With Figment / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ A cute journey about imagination with Figment, the little purple dragon.

• 💫 Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival / 🎭 Show A theater showing Disney and Pixar animated shorts in 4D.

🌍 World Showcase

Norway

• 💫 Frozen Ever After / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 💧 A boat ride into the world of Frozen! You meet adorable Anna, Elsa and Olaf, and there’s a flume-style drop, so you may get a little wet.

• Meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus / 🤩 Character experience Meet Anna and Elsa in person in a royal-style summer house.

France

• Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along / 🎭 Show / ⭐⭐ A participatory theater show based on Beauty and the Beast where the audience sings along.

• 💫 Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A 4D ride where you shrink to the size of a rat and scurry around a Paris kitchen. Even the scent and wind effects are perfect!

• Meet Belle in France / 🤩 Character experience A photo spot where you can take pictures and chat with Belle.

• Meet Princess Aurora in France / 🤩 Character experience Aurora from Sleeping Beauty often appears here too.

Mexico

• Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ A boat ride through Mexico with Donald Duck and friends. Think of it as a Donald Duck version of Magic Kingdom’s “it’s a small world.”

• Meet Donald Duck in Mexico / 🤩 Character experience Meet Donald dressed in a Mexican outfit.

Morocco

• Meet Princess Jasmine in Morocco / 🤩 Character experience Meet Jasmine, the princess of Agrabah.

Germany

• Meet Snow White in Germany / 🤩 Character experience You can meet Snow White at the Germany pavilion.

United Kingdom

• Meet a Friend from the Hundred Acre Wood / 🤩 Character experience One of Pooh, Piglet or Tigger appears at random.

• Meet Alice in the United Kingdom / 🤩 Character experience Meet Alice from Alice in Wonderland.

China

• Meet Mulan in China / 🤩 Character experience A photo spot in a Chinese garden where you can meet Mulan.
